MICROS FIDELIO OPERA PMS BACK

Beginning with Version 2.6, Micros Fidelio's Opera Property Management System has enabled hotels to send SMS direct to their guests. In recent versions, this functionality has been extended to support Guest Messages and Queue Room functionality. hotelmessenger.net supports these messages and more, direct from within the Opera Property Management screens.

  Need to send Statistics to a Government organisation or Head Office, Opera can forward this information via Fax directly from the Opera reports module
         
Support for Export Files sent direct from Opera
  Would you like to send Reservation Reminders to all guests arriving tommorrow?. No problem, hotelmessenger.net can handle export files uploaded direct from the Opera Export module (OPP_EXP license required) manually or automatically via the Night Audit process. Works with Opera Version 2.6, Version 3, Version 4 and Version 5
  Our interface technology allows integration with the earlier versions of Opera. Whilst you do not get the full functionality offered in Opera Version 5, those hotels that are required to stay on earlier versions due to Chain standards still have the ability to send messages
   
Instant Feedback with our Instant Number Validation and Carrier Acceptance confirmation
  Whilst like other providers, hotelmessenger.net allows sending via email, our Opera HTTP based interface gives the user instant feedback that the number they used is valid and that the message has been sent to the recipients carrier for delivery. Sending SMS via email will always show SUCCESS in Opera but other providers often will not let you know if it has actually been delivered.
   
Delivery Reporting and Message History
  hotelmessenger.net lists all messages sent by your account and updates the message status to 'Delivered' within seconds of the guest receiving the message. The Message History screen also allows searching, exporting and reporting of records.
   
Flat Fee no matter what country
  Some providers have a complicated pricing structure where SMS are charged differently for each country. hotelmessenger.net understands that your guests are travellers and come from many different places. Having a flat fee avoids any extra charges if your guest so happens to be from a remote part of Africa (which hotelmessenger.net can deliver to).
   
Support for sending Faxes all from the same account
  Lets face it, some Agents and Companies still demand a fax to be sent confirming a reservaiton. hotelmessenger.net provides support for the sending of Fax Confirmations and Reports direct from Opera using the same account. No need for multiple accounts for multiple providers. Sending faxes direct from the website is also possible allowing your users to send guest faxes at a fraction of the cost increasing your profit margin.
   
Send a single message to social networks in one go
  Need to quickly let your Followers and Friends know that you have a couple of rooms left that you are offering for a discounted price?. No problem. Provided that you have accounts with the different social networks that hotelmessenger.net, a user can type in a message and have it distributed to these different networks instantly from one screen. No need to login to different sites to update your statuses.
   
Send SMS Confirmations from your hotel website using the same account
  Guests can receive an SMS confirmation within seconds of booking on your hotel website by integrating with hotelmessenger.net's API. Full documentation and assistance is provided to allow your web developers to link your website. All messages are then tracked and costed in the one account with the one provider.

 

Can I get a demonstration on how to send SMS from Opera?

Sure no problem. However before you start configuring your system to send SMS, we encourage you to view the Opera Help documentation on configuring Opera for SMS. Once you have reviewed this information, use the following settings to configure Opera to send SMS's using our demonstration account:

Outbound HTTP access needs to be granted to this URL from the Opera Database servers. This may involve changes to firewalls, proxies, NAT settings or other network settings.
